A whole new way of looking at things

I know that many people would have seen this but it is phenomenal!

Oldie but a Goodie!

(I received this picture via email - I think it was from a Jim Carey Movie but I wasn't sure who to credit so if you know (and let me know) I will rectify it straight away x)

Just a little bit of lovely

Once upon a time... from Capucha on Vimeo.

Just a little bit of lovely for the day x

I dare you (and me for that matter)

Share the linky love!

There is a beautiful Sponsor GIVEaway! at Boho Photography - always a wealth of happiness, creativity and inspiration to feed one's soul.

Have a look at Pacing The Panic Room - a great way to teach kids about loving not squishing bugs and some brilliant photos - if the weather holds we will be bug hunting this afternoon - hoping that I will get some rockin photos like he did!

You must check out serendipity factory blog - I only found it last night and I am in love! It is such a happy, lovely, stunning blog that finds all the other happy, positive things out there and posts them! Love it!

Have a beautiful day x

What is your soul food?

Happy Spring! Well ... to my nearest and dearest I have aways been a winter girl..... I love that three months of the year I can get away with wearing trackies, that soup is constantly on and that I don't feel guilty about having madam inside doing art & craft all day as we can't go outside anyway!

But.......

I woke up this morning and am surprisingly (it's freaking me out) excited that it is Spring. The Mr went to work and the light started to come through early and I am stoked! I noticed that my strawberry plant had a bud on it - which is brilliant as I have managed to kill all of my previous strawberry plants. I have managed to do my workout (yes a new thing let's see how this pans out) without the madam waking up. I have come up with a fair few new ideas and found some incredible inspiration.

So.......

Because I was so inspired by the 'Photo a day in August' hosted at The Byron Life. I am going to do a month of 'What is your soul food?'. What makes you happy, gives you a lift, warms your heart, makes you smile.............gives you soul food? It's actually a thing my Dad always says.....that we should surround ourselves with people who gives us soul food.

So in my determination to bring much more happiness into my home and to create a positive environment for my darling daughter (who just informed me she wants to make worm pancakes - cause they'll be yummy in my tummy' - questionable) I will post (everyday I am working on! But forgive me if I don't!) something that gives me and might give you (or the greater cosmos) soul food - a photo, a quote, a link, a saying, a recipe.

If anyone wants to join just let me know in the comments section and I will create a link to your blog - if not I will go on this journey of happiness alone and maybe you'll join along the way.

(* Even if it rains today I am still calling it Spring*)

(* I will post a few more things later I just have to feed la madam before

she starts hunting worms for pancakes*)

The last day - Mum & Dad's place

Unintentionally my last lot of photos for A photo a day in August are of things at my parents home. We went there yesterday for a good ol' family lunch - first time in a little while - I think life just takes over. My parents have always loved antiques, vintage really anything old. I think half of their house is like their babies! They have found a lot of this in fairly unique places but they love it and I think the older I have got I have come to appreciate it more. Mum and I are very different people - with very different ways but I still love the way she decorates.
