You had me at mama

I have loved you since the moment I felt your creation - your being.............and I love the fact that you call me mama and it drives them nuts!

Reliving

I just took madam to a new playgroup - it's kinda like reliving (is that a word) school for me - although I am starting to think that I am more self conscious as a 30 year old mother than I ever was a teenager. Go figure........

Universal alignment

I love op shopping (or thrifting depending on where you hail from) but I have had a bit of a dry spell lately. Today the universe must have been aligned because I was able to buy all the lovely things you see here. A kaftan top for myself, a rainbow poncho, striped dress and jeans (to be shortened) for madam and some classic tupperware (you know the stuff that costs a fortune and lasts forever) so I am very excited.

Note to self: must edit photos before posting.

Insomniac

This is the view we had from our apartment in Melbourne- it was strange and beautiful watching the city continue through the night - we live in a very quite town usually so being around the city 'vibe' was a novelty for an insomniac like me.

Waking up

The Mr and I recently went to Melbourne for a bit of a weekend away (read dirty weekend!) when I woke up there were these three hot air ballons outside our apartment - Iwould love to do this!

Things that scare me

Small people in Dora masks - needless to say it didn't last very long in this house!

Why do I never learn!

(I think madam was about six months here..... along long time ago)

I have been sitting here since 5am (our actual rising time is 4:40am for the Mr to go to work!) watching madam play with the cardboard box the TV the Mr bought for him self came in - I think that made sense! Anyway she is in the TV Box. Now in this day and age of consumerism and mass marketing I have tried to keep life simple - to limit, if I can't totally get rid of, landfill plastic toys - to buy consciously, etc, etc. The madam actually spends 90% of her time outside so it's worked out ok but I still have a daughter with a fair amount of 'stuff'. My point being ..... yes I get there eventually.......when will I learn that the cardboard box is just so much more versatile and entertaining than anything else! (and much more budget friendly!)
